ROUTE NOTEBOOK

Cross-border routes: compare locations and types

The location indicates where traffic exits; the route type describes how the connection is carried. First check which region your target service requires, then compare performance on the networks you actually use. Distance or route names alone are not enough to decide.

Choose an exit location based on what you need

Work tools, AI tools, and streaming services can have different location requirements. If a service account has a region or workspace setting, check its rules before choosing the corresponding exit location. For everyday browsing, start with a location you commonly use and check page loading, file transfers, and session stability on the sites you need. The same route may perform differently across providers, Wi-Fi networks, and times of day.

IEPL dedicated routes, relays, and direct connections describe connection paths; they are not a fixed ranking for every use case. A relay routes traffic through an intermediate node, while a direct connection does not use the same relay arrangement. Route names can help narrow your options, but test performance on your own network before relying on a route long term.

Troubleshoot one connection issue at a time

If a webpage loads but an app does not work, check the app's proxy rules, account region, and service status first. If all pages load slowly, check your local network and compare other routes. Change one setting at a time and keep your original route and rules so you can identify what helped. Reference figures shown here are not a substitute for testing in your apps and do not guarantee bandwidth or availability.

Streaming catalogs and AI tool availability depend on each platform's supported regions. Platforms may also consider account details, payment region, and detected exit location. If you need a specific service, review its usage rules and test access rather than treating a region label as a guarantee.

SERVICE NOTES

Network acceleration,
by use case

Separate the details that are easy to conflate, from connection paths to data cycles. Choose based on how you use the service, not on a single speed figure.

Performance during peak hours

Judge after-work performance on the networks you actually use. ShunVPN offers routes in different regions and with different connection types, so you can compare them for your usual services. Test page loading, uninterrupted playback, and file uploads during your normal work or viewing hours rather than relying on a single speed test. If performance fluctuates, check your local network first, then try another route in the same region. Avoid changing several settings at once. A single test is not a long-term guarantee; your own testing method and notes are more useful than a standalone ranking.

Quantum encryption

Quantum encryption is part of ShunVPN's service security information. For everyday protection, safeguard both your connection and your account: get the client and subscription through the user panel, store your password securely, and don't post subscription links in public chats or screenshots. Encrypted connections do not replace account permissions on destination websites or device system updates. For payments, work files, or personal documents, verify website addresses, app permissions, and sharing settings. Read the privacy policy to understand how data is handled.

Unlimited devices

ShunVPN supports unlimited simultaneously connected devices on Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux. Configure work computers, portable devices, and home computers for their respective platforms without planning around a device limit. Note that device count and data allowance are separate: account for usage across all your devices. After installation, check the connection status and rules on each device, especially after waking from sleep or switching networks. Keep account credentials and subscriptions secure; don't share them publicly.

Accessing AI tools

Browser chats, editor completions, and command-line requests may use different network settings. When using AI coding tools such as Cursor, check the service's supported regions first, then verify that your editor and terminal use the intended connection path. A website loading normally does not mean background requests take the same route. For work that needs an ongoing session, test the connection before you begin to avoid frequent exit-location changes mid-task. Access also depends on account permissions, platform policies, and usage limits; network acceleration does not replace these requirements or guarantee that a particular tool will always be available.

Streaming

When choosing a route for streaming, check the platform's region rules first, then test playback continuity. Catalogs, picture quality, and access permissions can all depend on account plans, licensing regions, device capabilities, and network conditions. ShunVPN offers routes in different regions but does not guarantee streaming access based on an exit-location label. Test with content you normally watch and check playback startup, seeking, and uninterrupted viewing. Longer sessions use more data, so review usage in the user panel when choosing between a monthly plan and a data pack.

14-day refund policy

ShunVPN offers a 14-day refund policy. Assess whether the service suits you using your actual devices, usual networks, and target apps rather than relying only on a product page. Keep notes on your connection environment, selected routes, and any issues to help troubleshoot. To request a refund, use the support ticket option in the user panel and provide the relevant order details and reason. See the terms of service for eligibility. Review plan prices, data reset timing, and refund rules before choosing, and distinguish monthly plans from non-expiring data packs.

CLIENT WORKSPACE

Clients and subscriptions

Get clients and subscriptions through the user panel. Sign in to access your subscription; creating an account requires no email address, just a username and password. Check your device platform before installation, then follow the relevant setup instructions.

Install first, then check your setup

Sign in on Windows, macOS, Android, or Linux to get the client; you don't need to purchase a plan first. For iOS, check the user panel for the available download options and requirements. If your system requests permissions during installation, verify the app source and requested access, then follow the platform-specific instructions. Installing the client is only the first step: you'll also need an active subscription and a configured connection.

Test the apps you actually use

After importing your subscription, wait for the route list to update, choose an exit location, and connect. Then open a website or app you normally use to check that requests work as expected. If browser and terminal behavior differ, check their settings separately. Treat subscription links like passwords and store them securely. For a more detailed walkthrough, see the quick start guide or user manual.

BILLING NOTES

Monthly plans and data packs

Monthly plans start at ¥9.9/month, with unlimited devices and a 14-day refund policy. Consider how regularly you use the service before choosing a data tier; for occasional use, compare data packs that last until used and never expire.

For regular use, check your monthly usage

If you mostly browse text, look up documents, and handle everyday communications, track your actual data usage before deciding whether you need a larger allowance. If you often stream video, sync files, or download large files, include those activities in your estimate. These scenarios are a guide to choosing, not a promise of a set number of viewing hours for any data tier. Video quality, file sizes, and background activity on your devices all affect usage.

Monthly plan data resets on your activation date, not automatically on the first of each calendar month. When checking your remaining allowance, also check the next reset date to decide whether you need a different tier. Before upgrading, review the prorated amount shown in the user panel and confirm the order details before proceeding.

For occasional use, check how long data remains available

If you use the service only for occasional work, research, or travel, data packs that never expire make it easier to match your allowance to actual usage. Don't compare only the total price; consider how often you'll use the service. A larger allowance isn't automatically a better fit. The difference between monthly resets and use-until-depleted data often matters more than the tier name.

ShunVPN lists monthly plans, data packs, and refund rules separately, so you can compare them on the same terms. Accounts require no email address, and there is no device limit, but you'll still need to consider your data usage and target services. Check the user panel for current order details and account status. For billing questions, submit a support ticket through the panel.
